My Story
Hey!
My name is Juliana. I am your average midwestern girl. I am from a little state called North Dakota. As I’m sure you read from my short intro, I am a military soldier who loves fitness, animals, and music. We can dive deeper into that. For the beginning, I think I want to share some of my hopes and dreams that I want to get from this blog.
Like some people, I have many dreams. It took me a long time to realize what I really wanted out of my life. I finally have a good grasp of what I want to do. One of my main dreams I have is to make this blog into a success. I am the person who will make a 20-year plan if you would let me. And I most likely will after I post this.
My main goal through this blog is to teach people about the proper care of animals. I’ve worked in a pet store for a few years now and I’ve learned so much from it. I do hear a lot of common issues from my local pet owners. On here I plan to address them and hopefully find you a solution! That’s enough about animal talk. Let’s get into the other topics.
I am a huge music nerd. I’ve been playing music for as long as I can remember. I can thank my grandma for that. She is the one who got me into music. I started out by pushing random keys on a keyboard in her basement when she would watch me. From there I eventually got a guitar and started lessons.
I wasn’t in guitar lessons for very long. After I stopped those, I quickly went into the cello. I loved the cello, but it was short lived just like the guitar. When I transferred schools, they didn’t have an orchestra program. That led me to switch to band. To this day I still play in the band.
When I switched schools, I switched from the cello to the flute. I couldn't get enough of band class. Somewhere in there I played the alto flute for a while. Shortly after, I started playing the saxophone as well. Not too long after I started clarinet and piccolo. I was moving through all the woodwinds. I couldn't get enough music in my life. I was playing in school and at home all the time.
After I got all those instruments down, I paid close attention to the percussion section during marching band. I would listen to the beats and watch the movement of their wrists. I memorized some of their music by ear and would practice it at home. Percussion I haven’t officially learned, but if I listen to it enough, I memorize the beats to the music and can play it.
Towards the end of my high school years, I started to pick up a new challenge. I wanted to conquer playing the strings. I started relearning the guitar and cello. I made pretty good progress on those. Shortly after I threw in the ukulele and the violin. I got those ones down quick.
The most recent instrument I’ve started to learn is the piano/keyboard. I am self-teaching that one as well. The only instruments I was taught were guitar, cello, and flute. Flute was the only one I stuck with due to transferring schools. I did reteach myself the guitar and cello recently. Which led me to the start of my military career.
My military career started in 2021. I originally wanted to enlist as a band member. Though, going to school for music and playing to for my job as well may get to be too much by some point. I didn’t want to burn myself out in one of my passions. This led me to a marketing job. The only reason I didn’t choose that one was because I would’ve been away from home for over a year. I didn’t like the idea of that. Which led me to my final choice as an Air Defender. Now I can’t go into too deep of details about my job due to security. But the whole rundown of my job is that I guard the sky to make sure no threats like planes or bombs come our way. I send out the warning to the troops so they can either take cover or set up to fight back. I enjoy it and my military life a lot.
That’s enough about me though, I hope within my blog you can get all the information you need. If you ever have any ideas that you would like me to write about or cover, shoot me an email! I hope to see you stick around and thank you all so much!
